SEMA Show - Auto After Market Products - Las Vegas!!

Next Tuesday through Friday (Oct. 31 to Nov. 3) I'll be in Las Vegas for the SEMA Show. This show is huge - it takes up all of the Las Vegas Convention Center and also the Sands Convention Center. More than 2000 exhibitors from all over the world will be showing their wares for the car freak.

Fiberforge will be there in Booth #11819 in the North Hall. We will be looking for some new markets for Fiberforge technology. Last year we got some great contacts and started several development projects because of the show. Other composite companies should look at doing some promotion and advertising outside the composite industry. This is where the new opportunities are found.

ACMA Show Report

I just got back from the ACMA Show and have been trying to get caught up on all of my work. Both Fiberforge and Material got great contacts in their booths. The format this year was a little different - only two days of exhibition. It seemed like it was not enough time to meet everyone and get all the business done.

The traffic and attendance seemed a little less this year, in spite of having the polymer concrete guys on board. Have to check with ACMA to see what the attendance figures were.

ACMA Show 2006

I am heading for St. Louis tomorrow for the ACMA Show. It should be an interesting convention. ACMA is combined with the polymer concrete guys (is that a composite) this year, so traffic might be a little heavier than in years past. On Wednesday and Thursday I will be at the Fiberforge Booth # 2342 and in the Material USA Booth # 2406. Stop by and say hello!

Fiberforge to Exhibit at ACMA Show

Fiberforge, the thermoplastic composite experts, will have a booth at the ACMA Show in St. Louis. Fiberforge will be in booth #2342. They will be exhibiting the latest prototypes that have been produced using the patented Fiberforge process.

Look for the new 3 Ring Longboard, made by Fiberforge. The board is a marvel of modern composite engineering. It has a complex structure including two types of core materials, custom surface graphics and a new unique shape. The board is Fiberforged from polyamide, carbon fiber and fiber glass.

MATERIAL to exhibit at ACMA Show

Material USA will have a booth at the upcoming ACMA Show in St. Louis. The booth will highlight the newest release of Material's CADWIND software for filament winding pattern generation and simulation and the latest release of CompositeStar. CADWIND software allows for the generation of winding patterns for all filament winding machines. Various packages, at different price levels, cover the winding spectrum from simple tubes and pipes to complex non-axisymetric shapes such as pipe T's and elbows.

CompositeStar is a composite design and analysis tool with an extensive material database.

Come by and see me, Michael L. Skinner, and the Managing Director of Material, Axel Seifert, in booth #2406.
